ACTARON provides studies and engineering for electric supply and powertrains for integrated low and high voltage DC systems.DPN:Because today’s propulsion systems are separate from their auxiliary systems, 90 percent of power is locked into the propulsion system and is not available for high-energy systems. All-electric aerial vehicles will unlock this power by applying a distributed power network (DPN) that provides electric power to the entire craft.  The DPN enables the number of primary systems, for example engines, to be reduced—allowing greater flexibility for their placement—and frees up more space for payload.Modular and Scalable:As the electric powertrains capability evolves developing a system with a reconfigurable power distribution architecture ensures that power stays on even when a craft is damaged. The future electric system will allow modular electric-power-distribution technology to provide redundancy of power distribution.Intelligent hardware and software functions are included to allow for reconfiguration in the event of a change in load requirements among the power modules in the event of component failure. This type of power distribution architecture is also attractive to marine industry.
